EP17 Soil Biology

Worms, ants, bacteria, fungi, algae and countless other species of soil organisms work together as a community breaking down organic matter above ground and converting it into the carbon that is a key element in soil health and fertility. In Part Two of our soil carbon series, Kimberly Cornish (executive director of Food Water Wellness Foundation) returns to help us breakdown soil scientist Dr. Jeff Battigelli’s (University of Alberta) Organic Alberta Conference 2018 presentation on soil biology and how it relates to soil carbon sequestration.
