Renewable or alternative energy is great, but renewable energy with direct benefits to our communities that go beyond generating electricity is even better – that is community renewable energy.
Communities across Alberta are finding their own paths to bringing solar or wind projects to their communities and capturing the spin-off benefits of those projects whether it is financing a community development fund, local job creation or helping out a community institution with its electrical bill.
Community renewable energy is a relatively new approach to energy generation in Alberta and we have put together a panel of speakers who are either making these projects happen or are tracking their progress. Join us for this webinar and find out what communities are doing to trailblaze this new path in the province.
Rural Routes to Climate Solutions and Community Futures – Lac La Biche are hosting this webinar.
